WACOSA ThriftWorks Needs Your Gently Used Stuff
Let’s be real, winter can be hibernation season here in Minnesota. Many are staying in, ordering takeout, and avoiding the cold. But while donations tend to slow down this time of year, the need at WACOSA ThriftWorks thrift store definitely doesn’t.
Your gently used items help keep our shelves full and support meaningful employment and skill-building opportunities for adults with disabilities right in our community. (That’s right, your support stays right here at WACOSA, a local nonprofit, who works for adults with disabilities, building a circle of support that empowers individuals from graduation through retirement!)
What We Love to Receive 💙
If it’s gently used, clean, and in good working condition, we’re here for it:

What We Can’t Accept 🚫
Some items are difficult to resell, store, or safely handle:
- 🛏️ Mattresses & box springs
- 🛋️ Sleeper sofas
- 🪑 Entertainment centers
- 📺 TVs & large electronics
- 🍽️ Microwaves
- 🏋️ Medium to large exercise equipment
- 🧱 Carpentry or construction materials
- 🍎 Food
- 🔫 Weapons or explosives
- 📼 VHS or cassette tapes (except Disney)
- 🧸 Broken, stained, or heavily worn items
So next time you’re doing a closet clean-out or Marie Kondo-ing your space, think ThriftWorks thrift store. Our year round drive-in donation bay makes donating a snap! The store, and the donation bay are located at 310 Sundial Drive in Waite Park, MN. Donation hours are Monday through Friday from 10am to 6:30pm, Saturday from 10am to 4pm, closed on Sundays.
