There’s something special about seeing your hard work turn into something that helps others. For members of the WACOSA Seniors Aktion Club, that recently meant more than 320 school supplies headed to students at Madison Elementary.
The Aktion Club members took an active role throughout the school supply drive. They decorated collection boxes, helped distribute them at locations throughout the community and watched excitedly as donations began to fill them.
By the end of the drive, those boxes held hundreds of pencils, notebooks, crayons and other supplies that students and teachers can put to good use throughout the school year.
For Aktion Club members, the project was a chance to work together, connect with the community and experience the pride that comes from helping their neighbors. Giving back is an important part of Aktion Club, and this project showed just how much of an impact a group of dedicated people can make.
The WACOSA Seniors Aktion Club is incredibly grateful to everyone who donated supplies and to the community locations that helped make the collection possible. Because of that support, our members were able to turn their hard work into more than 320 reasons to celebrate!
