Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday? #GivingTuesday is a new nation wide campaign dedicated to transforming the way people think about, talk about and participate in the holiday season. Getting involved is easy. Utilize this day to choose your favorite cause and make a contribution of time or money on or around #GivingTuesday. From volunteering to a simple $10 online donation there are plenty of ways to give. It is important to make an informed and thoughtful giving decision.

WACOSA’s mission is to provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to work and live in their community and reach their full potential. Employers who partner with WACOSA receive not only the benefit of a reliable and cost-effective work force, but the knowledge that they are building community through social responsibility. To continue to build these types of job opportunities, we rely on the generosity of our many friends and donors. From donations to utilizing WACOSA’s services you can make a difference and help break down the barriers that adults with disabilities face every day. Here are just a few ways you can make a difference this #GivingTuesday season:
1. Online Donation. Donating online is simple just follow the link and fill out the brief form or mail your donation.

2. THRIFTWORKS! We are now accepting donations for our new store THRIFTWORKS!, opening in Spring of 2013. Drop off hours in Waite Park are 9am-7pm and 9am-4pm in Sauk Centre. Click HERE for a list of items we are accepting.

3. Brick Program. A tax deductible donation of $100 to engrave a brick to honor or memorialize a loved one or show your pride and support for your business or our community is a good way to demonstrate your support for WACOSA’s mission. 4. WishList. At WACOSA, we realize that some donors would prefer to give specific items to help WACOSA achieve its mission. Click HERE for our “wishlist.”

5. Holiday Light & Cord Recycling. Get rid of your burnt out holiday lights or old extension cords and telephone cords and bring them to us. Not only is this a green initiative, this helps us create jobs. Click HERE for a list of recyclable items.
